
Kevin Lind is a staff writer for Deseret News on the Ideas and Culture team, writing about the Intermountain West. Previously, he was a magazine fellow at Deseret Magazine, a Delacorte fellow at Columbia Journalism Review, and he’s also written for Jackson Hole News & Guide. He’s interned at Harper's Magazine and done editorial work for The Yale Review, where he’s taught a seminar on fact-checking for their student editorial assistants.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of St Andrews in Scotland and Columbia Journalism School, where he graduated with Honors and was awarded a Pulitzer Traveling Grant. Prior to graduate school, he had a thirteen year career in restaurants during which he managed the then "world's best restaurant," Eleven Madison Park, and spent time managing F&B operations in Aspen, The Hamptons, and Jackson, WY. He's mopped floors, washed dishes, catered in Stockholm, bartended in Scotland, and worked at a Wyoming gas station.
An avid skier, runner, and reader, he's mostly a dad and husband now. He resides in Boston with as frequent trips out west as life allows.
